What our customers say

Shipping Company Groen

“We have good mutual understanding,”

says Shipping Company Groen. The company is cooperating with Heila, from Waalwijk, for a while now. “Most of our fleet’s ships are equipped with Heila cranes. We have a wide variety of cranes that we use for all kinds of work. They can be used for example to supply other ships and platforms or to recover lost survey equipment such as cables and sensors on board. We are satisfied with the performance of the cranes and with Heila itself. Our companies have a good mutual understanding which makes working together not only pleasant but also efficient.”

Fully foldable crane

One of the new seismic support and escort vessels, Linde-G, recently had a HLRM 45-5S Heila crane installed. The crane is equipped with a dual speed winch and remote control system to accommodate accurate as well as fast lifting operations. The crane was installed by Shipyard De Hoop in good cooperation with Heila. The installation went well, as did the commissioning. An important part of the commissioning is the testing of the capacity, functionality and the safety devices on the cranes. All circumstances that may affect the cranes are considered. The testing was witnessed by the Lloyd’s Register surveyor and one of our superintendents. The test was successful. The vessel is ready for the job.”

Heading for its first job

The Linde-G, a purpose built seismic support and escort vessel, was christened on 24 April and left two days later for its first job off the coast of Norway. The Heila crane is used to bring the supplies on board, potentially recover lost equipment and to operate a Dacon Scoop which is part of the man overboard rescue equipment.
