Heila HLRM 65-6S Crane for New NIOZ Research Vessel Wim Wolff

On Thursday, 15 February, we witnessed the christening of research vessel Wim Wolff in the scenic harbour of the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ) on Texel. NIOZ will use the vessel to conduct extensive research projects in the coastal zones of the North Sea, the Delta, and the Wadden Sea. Their dedication to unravelling the mysteries of marine life, from birds to fish, is truly commendable and invaluable to the global research community.

We are happy to support NIOZ’s important projects by providing our HLRM 65-6S crane. With a capacity ranging from 13.5 tonnes at 5 metres outreach to 3 tonnes at over 16 metres outreach, this versatile crane is tailor-made to support the crew in various tasks such as handling research equipment and manoeuvring buoys and anchors with ease.

We are thrilled to be part of the journey aboard Wim Wolff, empowering research teams to conduct experiments, surveys, and observations more efficiently than ever before.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to NIOZ for placing their trust in Heila Cranes. We wish you all the best in your groundbreaking research endeavours!
