Heila Anti-Corrosion Program: built to last at sea

The sea accepts no compromises — and corrosion is its most patient weapon. That is why every crane Heila manufactures goes through the Heila Anti-Corrosion Program, a complete protection system designed for long life in harsh marine environments.

It starts with the structure itself: structural design with rounded edges, steel preparation and a painting process compliant with ISO 12944-C5M. Hydraulic cylinder rods receive a high-hardness special treatment guaranteeing excellent adhesion, no microcracks, no porosity and a salt-spray (NSS) rust-free time of over 3,000 hours. Pins are made of high-strength stainless steel AISI 630, rigid pipes and fittings in AISI 316, structural bolts coated with Geomet, and junction boxes rated IP66 in AISI 316.

For cranes needing even more protection, the HD4+ Extreme Anti-Corrosion package adds dedicated solutions, including steel structure metallization according to Norsok 2B.
