Offshore Energy 2022 will be held on 29 and 30 November 2022 at the Amsterdam RAI. Henk Gennissen, General Commercial Manager at Heila Cranes Nederland BV, will again be at the NL Pavilion with NMT this year.

Henk is very familiar with NMT and well-known there as well. “‘I like how NMT continually strives to improve. It’s great at the NL Pavilion; we have been going with NMT for six years. The organisation is excellent right off the bat, everything is well-prepared, and there is very little to worry about, which leaves you free to focus on the event,” he says.

“Our cranes are often on working vessels and are used for dredging and the construction of offshore infrastructure. They are also used on platforms or as smaller auxiliary cranes on ships. We want to focus strongly on our knuckle boom cranes at the trade fair. We delivered an exceptionally large one this year. It can be stowed very compactly and has Active Heave Compensation, which compensates for wave action to keep the load at the same height despite the waves.”

Offshore Energy is a two-day exhibition & conference with just under 600 exhibitors showcasing their products and services to more than 12,000 visitors from around 90 countries. “Offshore Energy is a very well-organised trade fair,” says Henk. “You meet many new people and make new contacts every time. The sector is developing rapidly, especially wind energy. Last year was not as busy as usual because of COVID-19, but it is normally always a great success.
